Rory McIlroy is 11/8 fav with William Hill to win this weekend’s Grand Slam of Golf while it’s 8/11 for a Northern Irish winner.
Carl Schwartzel follows McIlroy at 2/1, Kevin Bradley 7/2 and Darren Clarke is the 11/2 outsider.
“Apart from Rory Mcllroy the majors were won by 100/1 outsiders and it has not come as a surprise that punters are backing Mcllroy to make mincemeat of the field,” said Hill’s spokesman Rupert Adams.
Following his victory at the Portugal Master, William Hill offer 80/1 that Tom Lewis wins the Open championship in 2012 and 5/6 that he wins a major title before the end of 2017.
