Betfred have installed Junior and Le Beau Bai at the head of the Grand National Trial market as 8/1 favs after 23 horses remained.
Junior is currently Betfred’s 12/1 fav for the John Smith’s Grand National in May and could be looking at his first start since May. Le Beau Bai showed liking for heavy ground when taking the Welsh National at Chepstow and connections are hoping for similar ground at Haydock this weekend.
“Junior currently heads the Grand National market and connections will be hoping for a big run at Haydock on Saturday ahead of a potential life-changing date at Aintree in April,” said Betfred spokesman George Primarolo.
The trio of Neptune Collonges, Start Me Up and Cappa Bleu are all next in the market at 10/1 whilst it’s 14/1 bar that quintet.
