Thought Worthy has been cut into 8/1 (from 16/1) for September’s St Leger by Stan James after the colt won the Great Voltigeur Stakes
Stan James’s Rory Jiwani said, “William Buick takes the plaudits for a fine tactical ride in front on Thought Worthy who gamely held off favourite Main Sequence. Ted Durcan took a while to get the Epsom Derby second stoked up and he just could not get in front on this occasion. That was a very good result for us as we’d made a point of being top price about Main Sequence for today.
“Thought Worthy is now 8/1 for the St Leger at Doncaster with Main Sequence unchanged at 8/1 for the final Classic of the year. Camelot remains the 2/5 favourite to complete the English Triple Crown.
