Fergie’s Thursday racing tips

Paul Ferguson has two selections for us on Thursday; Sunray Shadow in the 1.05 and Leader In The Park 3.25 both at Newbury. | Free Bets |

Captain Hugo is a horse I’m quite excited about for this season but Newbury’s maiden hurdle looks very competitive so I’m looking at a couple of handicappers on the card. SUNRAY SHADOW (1:05) was promising but still green as a novice last winter and remains open to plenty of improvement for Dan Skelton. From an opening mark of 118, he is worthy of support, for all that I respect Inside Man. And, conditions (good ground, flat track and intermediate trip) look ideal for LEADER IN THE PARK (3:25) who can strike for an in-form Ben Pauling.

Thursday’s selections:
1:05 Newbury – Sunray Shadow; 11/1 William Hill
3:25 Newbury – Leader In The Park; 6/5 William Hill
