Current Oaks favourite I’M THE ONE (2:35) made a deep impression on racecourse debut at Newbury last month and can build on that to win this afternoon’s Cheshire Oaks.
A day later, John & Thady Gosden introduced an exciting colt at Newbury, WATER TO WINE (3:05) cruising to success under Ryan Moore. Without a Derby entry, he might be capable of defying inexperience to beat the penalised Benvenuto Cellini, who is sure to go off at short odds. Royal Ascot is likely to come under consideration if all goes well here.
