Live on Skysports 1: Sun 16.10: In what should be a thrilling game, United are 2.5 (6/4) at Betdaq to beat Spurs but perhaps back goals.
Table-topping Manchester United remain unbeaten after 20 matches but they face a huge test of their title mettle on Sunday as they head to White Hart Lane to face fourth-placed Tottenham. Sir Alex Ferguson’s men are Betdaq’s 2.5 (6/4) favourites but Spurs, a 2/1 shot at bet365, haven’t lost at home since they were edged out by Wigan in August and as United have drawn seven out of nine on the road, Coral’s 9/4 chalked against the stalemate is just about the most attractive match bet.
The best value however, is to be found elsewhere. Firstly, as Tottenham haven’t failed to score in any competition since their October trip to Old Trafford and United possess plenty of attacking quality, it looks like a match in which both teams will get on the scoresheet (8/11, William Hill).
Sticking with goals, the visitors are an enticing 5/4 with bet365 to notch twice, a wager made more enticing by the probable return of Wayne Rooney although it’s a player at the other end that catches the eye in terms of finding the net. Spurs’ Dutch master Rafael van der Vaart, has struck nine times in 15 Premiership appearances and he’s a tasty 11/5 at Stan James to add to that tally at some stage.
Recommended Bet:
Manchester United to score at least twice against Spurs – 5/4 (bet365)
